The Creation Phase
In 2000 CEO Francis Dion and VP Eveline d’Orvilliers founded Process Academy Inc. – a company specializing in workflow automation enabling organization to improve efficiency in document creation.
The Evolution Phase
The company, being the first to unlock the power of XML behind the newly released Microsoft .docx file format, launches Xpertdoc Studio – a tool that automates document production in Word and renames the company to Xpertdoc Technologies in 2007. Xpertdoc is recognized as a Microsoft Gold Partner.
The Innovation Phase
Xpertdoc starts expanding their international footprint and launches Word-as-a-Service – an online document automation tool that converts Word files to email and PDF format. In 2012, Xpertdoc releases a cloud-based solution that enables health insurers to meet the new stringent Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) requirements.
The Momentum Phase
Xpertdoc releases the CCM platform in HTML5 for mobile device compatibility and the solution is certified for Microsoft Dynamics. Additionally, the product suite is built out securing the solution as a complete end-to-end CCM platform.
Forming partnerships with the Insurance Services Office (ISO) and the American Association of Insurance Services (AAIS), Xpertdoc further establishes itself as a leader in the insurtech space and is recognized with the SMA Innovation in Action Award for their patent-pending forms and template migration technology as well as Celent’s XCelent Functionality Award for technology.
The Growth Phase
The executive leadership team grows with the addition of 3 C-level industry executives and the CCM platform expands with the release of ECM and Smart Form technology. The company is ISO/IEC 270001:2013 certified and receives a US patent for their unique migration technology.
Canadian Business and PROFIT 500 ranks Xpertdoc as one of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies.
The company moves into their newly constructed Global Headquarters in Quebec and is approved under the Government of Canada Software Licensing Supply Arrangement (SLSA).
After 7 years of continued growth, Xpertdoc extends reach into international markets through XperiDo share purchase.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Francis is the Chief Executive Officer at Xpertdoc. With his entrepreneurial drive and passion for client services, Francis has over 20 years of experience in software development, managing IT services, as well as consulting and training services.
It is with Francis’ guidance that Xpertdoc is now directly involved in multiple implementations of document management and customer communication projects for over 300 organizations worldwide. Prior to Xpertdoc, Francis has worked with major companies such as PSP Investment, Aon Consulting, E-Com and SPIN Montreal.
Francis received his Bachelor of Science from Université du Québec à Montréal, and completed the Executive Development Program from MIT Sloan.
Chief Sales Officer
David is the Chief Sales Officer at Xpertdoc. He has extensive experience in sales, marketing, account management and P&L operations, which have helped him lead a highly successful $38M software and professional service business.
At Xpertdoc, David leads a team of top sales professionals, where they leverage a wealth of client data to efficiently communicate with customers and drive loyalty and profits.
Previous to Xpertdoc, David was the Chief Sales Officer for Valen Analytics, Senior VP of Sales and Marketing at OneShield, and VP of Insurance Sales and Marketing at CGI, a leading IT and business process services provider.
David received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Management Information Systems, Math, and Marketing from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. He is also the Director of Disaster and Humanitarian Relief at FHCC World Relief, where he has been involved with 42 humanitarian volunteer teams in nine countries to provide basic human needs including education and medical services.
Chief Technology Officer
Louis-Philippe is the Chief Technology Officer at Xpertdoc. With over 15 years of experience in the industry, he oversees all tech aspects and is focused on creating innovative technology for the company’s partners. Louis-Philippe has developed and designed Xpertdoc’s user-friendly applications and solutions for various customers, including market-leading insurance carriers around the world.
He built Xpertdoc’s solution from the ground up, as well as a new program and application to improve the product and customer experience. He holds a degree in Computer Science from Lionel-Groulx College.
Martin Mc Nicoll
Director of Information Systems and Security
Martin is the Director of Information Systems and Security at Xpertdoc. With over 25 years of experience in information technology, software, gaming and media industries, he oversees everything related to information systems, information technology and ISMS for the company. Martin has managed IT operations and led several successful projects, including over ten acquisitions in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.
Microsoft Certified Professional since 1999 and SANS Institute Alumni, Martin did most of his studies at the Montreal's HEC University.
Director of Operations
Julie is the Director of Operations at Xpertdoc, where she is responsible for the financial and operational management of the company. With over 13 years of experience in the information technology and software industry, Julie has managed finance and operations for international technology companies in Montreal. Julie earned her Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting from Montreal’s HEC University in 2002.
Pamela joined Xpertdoc as the Marketing Manager. She is responsible for the marketing and communication efforts of the company. In addition, she directs media relations, branding, digital marketing, advertising and website development. She manages and oversees sponsorships, events, marketing training and more.
She has more than 10 years of experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining the company, she was a Marketing Manager at Imation – a global data storage and IT security company.
Pamela obtained a Bachelor’s of Commerce degree with a major in Marketing from Montreal’s John Molson School of Business (Concordia University) in 2004.
