CIO Insurance Summit in Miami
Another great year with the delegates at the CIO Insurance Summit hosted in Miami this year!
While Miami weather did not cooperate (virtually constant rain, thunderstorms and even a tornado watch!) the interactions and dialogues during the session tracks and networking sessions were open and insightful as always.

Realizing a High ROI on Client Communication
Xpertdoc had a presence as a repeat sponsor (our 3rd year) with a special presentation track geared at highlighting the real ROI on technology investments possible in the client communications space.
Recognizing that insurance companies must find a way to remain relevant while maintaining & adhering to the strictest of regulatory compliance standards, we were able to showcase how document output automation technologies leveraging Word (as Xpertdoc does) will allow firms to bring this capability to the desktops of their Business Professionals. In keeping with the theme of this year's conference, we were pleased to be able to share tangible, concrete ROI examples from amongst our clients with special attention to those deployments in the insurance industry… With about half of the total delegates attending this session, the dialogue circled around how the examples shared brought a level of reality to claims of user empowerment, rapid ROI, and transfer of knowledge and skills to client teams that other vendors have had difficulty realizing. If you are interested in reviewing the presentation, feel free to contact me for a copy of the slide deck.
Besides our presentation, the other tracks discussed the impact of such trends as cloud computing, social media, collaboration and enabling new technologies for insurance market. The combination of separate presentation tracks, CIO think tanks and panel experiential presentations provided for a great mix of sources and formats for learning and debate on the issues.
Live discussions with delegates led to some interesting insights into current trends in document output initiatives. About half the attending firms were in the process of or had already targeted document output replacement initiatives for the 2011/12 cycle. About another quarter of the delegates had already started on this process of replacing legacy tools! Of great interest by many attendees was the capability of Xpertdoc to actually automate the migration process from legacy templates into Xpertdoc templates! We will be speaking more about this in the coming weeks so do stay connected to our website and blog posts for more details!
