What a great way to spend Friday morning 11/15/2013 at the CRMUG Regional meeting in Milwaukee, joining dozens of Microsoft Dynamics users for more learning and networking.
The meeting topic, led by Ms. Gretchen Opferkew – PowerObjects , focused on CRM User Adoption. PowerObjects provides workshops, online training, and boot camps for the CRM community.
To gauge the level of adoption of CRM within each company, everyone completed a User Adoption Assessment. This assessment consisted of 40 questions, scored across 10 categories; Scope and Vision, Executive Leadership, Ownership and Support, Communication, Accessibility, Process Adoption, System Function, Data Quality, End-User Motivation, and Training & Reinforcement. Depending on the category score, possible areas of concern in user adoption of Microsoft Dynamics CRM were identified. It was a great exercise! There was lively discussions as everyone shared their sometimes surprising results.
David Peterson from Trek bicycle Corporation shared his company’s experiences with CRM adoption. Trek was founded in 1976 by 5 guys working in a barn in Waterloo, WI. The company’s goal was to build the best bicycles in the world. Today they are North America’s largest bicycle maker, selling in over 90 countries. What a success story! Trek uses CRM Online to track all dealer and consumer activity, including consumer contacts, product registrations and warranties. David shared past and present challenges Trek has faced in user adoption of CRM.
Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), which has cancer hospitals in 5 US cities, was founded on the expectation that the standard of care provided to each patient would be what employees would want their mother to receive. Paul Cielinski shared his company’s challenges on implementing CRM at CTCA, and the solutions used to address them.
All in all, an interesting and productive session. Looking forward to more!
