In 2000, CEO Francis Dion and VP Eveline d'Orvilliers founded Process Academy Inc. – a company specializing in workflow automation enabling organizations to improve efficiency in document creation.
The company, being the first to unlock the power of XML behind the newly released Microsoft DOCX file format, launches Xpertdoc Studio – a tool that automates document production in Word – and renames the company to Xpertdoc Technologies in 2007. Xpertdoc is recognized as a Microsoft Gold Partner.
Xpertdoc starts expanding its international footprint and launches Word-as-a-Service – an online document automation tool that converts Word files to HTML and PDF. In 2012, Xpertdoc releases a cloud-based solution that enables US health insurers to meet the new stringent Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) requirements.
Xpertdoc releases its Customer Communications Management (CCM) platform in HTML5 for mobile device compatibility; the product suite is built out, securing the solution as a complete end-to-end CCM platform.
Forming partnerships with the Insurance Services Office (ISO) and the American Association of Insurance Services (AAIS), Xpertdoc further establishes itself as a leader in the insurtech space, and is recognized with the SMA Innovation in Action Award for its patent-pending forms and template migration technology as well as Celent's XCelent Functionality Award for technology.
Xpertdoc's leadership team grows with the addition of three C-level executives. The CCM platform expands with the release of cutting-edge ECM and Smart Form technologies. The company is certified compliant with the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 requirements for information security and receives a US patent for its unique migration technology.
Canadian Business and PROFIT 500 rank Xpertdoc as one of Canada's fastest-growing companies. The company moves into its newly constructed global headquarters in Quebec.
After 7 years of continued growth, Xpertdoc extends reach into international markets with the acquisition of XperiDo through a 100% share purchase agreement in February 2018.
The company expands its document generation and document automation product suite with the general release of Xpertdoc Smart Flows, enabling organizations to automate document flows from creation to delivery.

Chief Executive Officer
Richard is the Chief Executive Officer of Xpertdoc. Serial entrepreneur and result-oriented business strategist, he has been actively involved over the last 35 years in providing expertise to both executive and operational roles, in emerging and mature technology organizations.
Richard has an impressive track record of business growth and success. In 1985, he founded his first business, Logibro (now Accovia), a provider of software and e-commerce solutions for the travel industry. Under his leadership, the company became a worldwide leader with $25M in revenues.
Since 2007, Richard has successfully led multiple businesses as a founder, CEO, senior manager, board member, investor, and mentor. Many of them generated over 300% growth in the first years.
Chief Technology Officer
Louis-Philippe is the Chief Technology Officer of Xpertdoc. With 15 years of experience in the software industry, he oversees all technology aspects and is focused on creating innovative products and solutions for the company’s customers.
His deep knowledge and understanding of technology, along with outstanding programming skills, enabled Louis-Philippe to build Xpertdoc’s platform architecture from the ground up. He is now leading the development and design of user-friendly applications and solutions, using the industry’s best practices and the latest innovations to position Xpertdoc as a leader in the document generation and document automation market.
Louis-Philippe holds a degree in Computer Science from Lionel-Groulx College. In his spare time, he loves playing video games, playing with his kids and dog, and working around the house.
Chief Marketing Officer
Rudy is the Chief Marketing Officer of Xpertdoc. With 30 years of experience in technology, sales and management and a strong entrepreneurial drive, he leads and oversees global marketing initiatives.
Rudy was cofounder and Chief Executive Officer of Invenso, the software integration company that developed and marketed the core product XperiDo – Document Creation. He founded Urveda and Convenso, and had key positions at MSP, Hessenatie Logistics and BNP Paribas Fortis.
Rudy received a Bachelor of Financial and Administration Management as well as a Bachelor of Information Technology and Computer Science from the Antwerp Business School. He also obtained a Bachelor of Business and Economics from University college Antwerp Lessius. Rudy has been a Board member of Community Education and a member of the Rotary Antwerp-Mortsel for over 10 years.
Danielle is the Sales Director of Xpertdoc. With 16 years of experience in the information technology industry, she is responsible for driving global growth to new and established markets. She oversees all aspects of the sales process and is focused on helping customers achieve their business goals with the use of Xpertdoc products and services.
Danielle has extensive leadership experience and has led several high-performing sales teams around the globe. She is known for helping teams navigate the complexities and ambiguity of business transformation. Before joining Xpertdoc, she enjoyed a successful career at Dell and Shaw Communications where she focused on business strategy, sales growth, acquisitions, and partners.
In her spare time, Danielle loves nature photography, travelling the world to learn about different cultures and supporting local charities.
Customer Success Manager
Yannic is the Customer Success Manager of Xpertdoc. With 20 years of experience in the software industry, professional services and customer relationships, he oversees customer support and services on top of acting as a trusted advisor to Xpertdoc customers. His technical background, analytics skills and multi-tasking ability enable Yannic to quickly find effective solutions for customers, help them achieve their business goals and improve satisfaction.
As one of Xpertdoc’s first employees, he has an extensive knowledge of document technologies, a deep understanding of the market, and a proven track record in developing innovative solutions that meet customers’ needs, in their specific industry. Prior to Xpertdoc, he worked as a programmer-analyst at Fruits & Passion and Keops Technology, and as a programmer at ESI Software.
Yannic received a Bachelor in Computer Science from the University of Sherbrooke. In his spare time, he enjoys travelling, gardening and renovating his house.
