1. Make it personal. Make sure you are constantly in touch with your customers. Take all that rich customer data and drive that into compelling personalized communications.

2. Grab the data. Capture as much data as you can.  The more you know about your customer, their likes, preferences and behaviors, the more you can connect with them on a deeper level.

3. Use the right channel. Communicate with your customers where they want and in the way they prefer.  For example, millennials don’t like paper and would rather have digital. Seniors are the opposite. And there are lots of options in between.

We are currently living in the age of the highly distracted customer.  If you want to get their attention, you need to cut through the distraction with highly relevant and personalized communications.  By doing so, you will form a deeper connection.  More customer love for you means less for your competitors!
