40% of this year’s attendance at Microsoft’s World Partner Conference were first time attendees. I was one of those first time attendees. I’ve been to many tradeshows and conferences before but never one so large (overwhelming in fact), strictly for partners and hosted by a single company.
This sold out event had 16,000 people practically take over Toronto and its Entertainment District. This sea of lanyard, badge wearing people included three guys from @xpertdoc who received 3 distinct pins to wear over the course of the week. The pins identified them as the “rookie” @EricBatangan, @David_Squibb a “veteran” and @fdionxpertdoc who proudly wore a gold “10+ Years” pin.
Who is @xpertdoc?

Who is @EricBatangan?
My role as Channel Manager is ultimately to foster a partner program, grow a partner network that understands our value proposition and recognizes the digital transformation going on in all industries and organizations. What better place to kick off a partner program then at WPC?
So yes, you never forget your first. WPC 2016 was memorable in many ways. It was the first time in WPC history the event was sold out. But for me witnessing first hand the appreciation and commitment expressed by Satya Nadella to the Microsoft partnership ecosystem on day one. Seeing that level of commitment reflected in the Microsoft employees I spoke with throughout the week and how the event catered to all partners big and small. As the Xpertdoc partner program and network grows, I’ll follow Microsoft’s lead as they show us all how its done.
Stay tuned for my next blog on why companies are joining the Xpertdoc team and why you should contact Eric Batangan.
